Can I do it??
Augh! I just learned that my class will not meet on October 20, which is once again, you guessed it, BOOK CLUB! I have two weeks... can I read "Stardust" in two weeks? Anyone have a copy I can borrow real quick? Even if I can't read all of it, I still want to come to see everyone. Amazing how he keeps picking Book Club nights to call off class...

Stardust is a REALLY quick read. In fact, I only have a 7 p.m. lesson right now on wednesdays, so I may be able to make book club, too!
Linda has a copy and she's already read it - maybe she'd pass it on...
oops - that was from Tanya. of course.

I just started Stardust last night myself. I'm already 75 pages in, so I think you can do it. The leading on my copy is HUGE, so it goes really fast. It's pretty good so far, but then again, it's Neil Gaiman. Can't really go wrong.

It's a super easy read so far. You'll finish it in a night.

Sounds good, everybody. Linda said that she'll bring in her copy for me tomorrow, so I'm all good. :)
Now if only he would call off Book Club next month, so I can get in on some of those Indian tacos.... :)
Indian tacos?
What the hell? You guys have been keeping me in the dark on this book club stuff. Please inform me.

indian tacos
start with some frybread. imagine a funnel cake consistency, but it's one solid piece and not sweet. you might also imagine an overgrown pizza crust (thicker, but not as large in diameter).
then take everything you would put in a taco - meat, beans, cheese, salsa, onion, etc - and pile it on top. yummy.
november is native american heritage month and we're reading a native author, so we might as well have food to fit the theme.
